Pr N Rioux-Leclercq is the referring pathologist for kidney tumors in France and is the coordinator pathologist of the French network for a second opinion of rare kidney cancers in adults (Carare, INCa).
She has an experience in Urological Pathology of more than 15 years, and a recruitment of more than 1000 cases per year with emphasis on kidney and prostate disease.
She did a fellowship in urological pathology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA (2000, 2001, Pr JI Epstein).
Since 2008, she has been the Director of the Pathology Department at the Rennes Public Hospital, France. She has a kidney cancer research team and supervise PhDs on kidney cancer every 2 to 3 years with more than 200 publications in urological pathology and more particularly on kidney cancer.
She is the principal investigator (PI) for pathology of several research projects on kidney cancer (Axipap, Strac, Nivoren…).
She is also in charge of a postgraduate education on kidney cancer (International Academy of Pathology/AIP, French section).
She is a member of the International Society of Urologic Pathology (ISUP), the Genitourinary Pathology Society GUPS (in coming), the French Cancer Committee of the French Association of Urology (CCAFU, expert for the kidney cancer pathology).
She is a coauthor for the 2016 WHO classification of tumors of the urinary system and male genital organs (for kidney cancers), and for the european guidelines of renal cell carcinomas.
